I was looking up diagnostic criteria for schizophrenia just cuz it was on House reruns from my DVD's. Some interesting info.

But then, for some reason I looked up paranoia (oh, right, I knew you were talking about me behind my back and demanding more capital! ;)). Anyway, I came across a very interesting tidbit from psychcentral.com:

Like most personality disorders, paranoid personality disorder typically will decrease in intensity with age, with many people experiencing few of the most extreme symptoms by the time they are in the 40s or 50s.

It's interesting. I have to wonder how many of these mental disorders are hormone linked. That's one of the things that universally decreases with age -- hormone levels. Consequently, if most mental disorders diminish in intensity with age, and hormones also diminish with age (one of the only main functions that diminish with age that also affects mental/emotional health)..... Very interesting indeed....
