Terra cotta pot cooking!
So, a while back I posted that I finally obtained a much-coveted pot. Well, tonight I finally opted to cook with it.
We'll see how it goes. I probably threw together too many things in there, but we'll see.
3 chicken breasts, skinless and boneless
5 small red potatoes, washed and eight-ed (?)
6 juvenile carrots peeled and cut into heavy pieces
1 sweet onion sliced thick
2 broccoli crowns cut up
2 lemons thick sliced
4 tablespoons of minced garlic
1/2 stick of butter thick sliced
freeze dried poultry seasonings, applied liberally to chicken tops
salt and pepper
Layered of lemon slice, onions, veggies, chicken, more onions, remains of other veggies, lemons, with butter slabs on the top so it cooks downward, and tablespoons of garlic because I was a dumbass and neglected to use fresh garlic cloves in the middle/bottom with extra butter for those.
It's got a definite savory fragrance to it thus far. I'm just hoping the flavors don't clash too terribly is all.
