Hooray!!!!!!

Well, all things finally do come to a rounded and sound conclusion it seems! Or at least initially, anyway.

My server is back up and online. Which means I'm finally able to start receiving and dealing with email to all my normal addresses again. Plus, I can finally start to service up the pics I've had in wait for over 3 months. So, feel free, but be patient. I have DSL, yeah, and it's static, yeah. But it's not the same monstrous pipeline I had down in the Bay, unfortunately. And these pics are all unretouched, and copyright to me, while the content is copyright to those viewed. So, please no redistribution without asking. And, as always, just let me know if you find pics out there that you'd rather not have out there. I've done my best to remove some of the more ... 'questionable' or 'objectionable' pics because of any number of reasons, but that doesn't mean that given the volume, some didn't slip through.

As time and scripting permit, I will be cropping, retouching, and rebalancing them them down for distribution and display, as well as developing a nifty Java interface that's been kicking around in my head for a while now. But at least for the time being, you can grab and view what you know about again.

So:

http://www.sdpub.org/latex/fc03/ My pics from FC03 that are fit for public consumption, broken into directories for each day I attended.
http://www.sdpub.org/latex/move/ My move out to Vancouver
http://www.sdpub.org/latex/msh/ The trip I took with my parents earlier this year up to Mt. St. Helens. I just loved the pure and absolute devastation that nature wrought on herself.

All the picture files under /move give me "You don't have permission to access on this server."

I think it might be because of the spaces in the directory names.

Actually it was a rights issue.

It's odd. I assigned all the files with 0600 to the correct user and group for the httpd process, yet, they still failed until given 0644. This is Apache 1.3.. Any ideas anyone for why?

The pictures are great. But, large enough I need a faster broadband to look at them all! I'd like to look at all the MSH stuff, the first few were spectacular!

Yeah, the MSH stuff was kind of a bad situation, pic wise. I somehow ended up taking the shots at the next higher resolution stage in the camera. It happens sometimes, inexplicably. So, some of them came out HUGE. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, given that they're scenery shots, and the more pixels to work with, the better.
