That America was shown that we are no better or different than any other country. That the fruits of what we'd sown (constantly fucking around in other, sovereign nations' domestic affairs) finally bore 'real' fruit. That if we were wise, and clever, we could be the strongest best nation in the world by leading by example, by moving beyond race, religion, politics, or any other faux measure of divisiveness and actually helping the world lift itself out.
Yeah. And I'm still waiting for my pony, too.
