How fucking dare you open your State of the Union Blather with 'Increased liberty to all' and then actively state that you're still all for an amendment to the Constitution that defines marriage.  How fucking dare you.

I'm a little worried about the way things are going for gay marriage up here too.

The minority against it has decided to become very vocal. As far as I'm concerned there is no debate here. Personally, I don't care if gov't calls it marriage or not either. I don't care if I can't get married in a church. And I definitely don't care if some close-minded fool doesn't condone my actions.

If my gov't recognizes my partner and myself as legal partners, and awards us the same rights as parters of the opposite sex; I'll be more than satisfied.

It's difficult to guess where this one is going to end up.
