Spontaneity is it's own reward
2003-Aug-03, Sunday 05:48 pmWent to the Portland zoo on a whim with a couple of friends this afternoon.
First, that place is so appallingly small, I feel bad for it.
Second, the cats were even lazier than usual, and ghods are they cute asleep. Especially the jags, which like to sleep in trees or sprawled out on their backs. Yes, each position was held by one of the spotty cats today. And the tiger was flaked out on the concrete at the nearest corner to the crowds, which likely leaves it alone the most.
Third, this area is just chock full o' visual rewards. Today was no exception. Saw a local boy who had a mohawk. And who also wore 'Pony Express Wrestling' on his chest, with a pair of wrestlers silhouetted in brown. My, my, was he cute, and did that spark no end of nasty little fantasies.
Fourth, the grey wolves were just as fucking lazy as the cats, though they at least moved a little bit, much like any canid would. One, sleeping in the 'den' would look up, at the people, size them up, sigh annoyedly and go back to sleep.
All in all, a nice diversion from ripping CD's and rifling through boxes.
