Healthy ears are happy ears apparently.

So, Monday morning I woke up with my right ear ring-buzzing and with some ear pressure causing some pain. Loads of not-fun. It finally got irritating enough to consider heading to the clinic (the free clinic courtesy of the bullshit health insurance I have) to get it looked at. Turns out I was wrong that the middle ear canal was congested with whatever, I had yet another wax cap on the ear drum. This time, they irrigated it (no more little hoop-removal-tool-thingies for me, EVER!) and got the wax out. The irrigation this time, though had a cute little glue-gun-like contraption that not only injected the water but also sucked almost all of it right back out as well. Warm water plus water pressure loosened the cap up and cleared me back out. No pain, no sounds. And, disconcertingly, MUCH more acute hearing on that side again. Very minute crinkling of a plastic shopping bag actually sounds a LOT like a leak in the door on a rainy day it seems. :)

Ah, the lack of discomfort is definitely a delight, though.

Clinic joys

Oh, right. So I was in the Free Clinic earlier today, getting my ear looked at like I said. Well, while in the waiting room for the 3 hours, I got to talking to a VERY cute veteran (mid-20's), and older gentleman, and my new favorite example of the Evils of Christianity. She really was a work of art.

The conversation started tentatively, as it tends to do, but very, very rapidly turned political and because of the environment we were in turned to the Health Care bill. I won't recall all the details of it, but naturally fat useless cunt (the Evil Christian Cow) (and now I'm not making up the 'useless' part; she's on partial disability because of various 'concerns and issues' including panic attacks when driving on a highway -- those semi's are too scary to cope with after all) thought the health care bill was 'bad'. But then, later it came out (as I was describing several of the slanderous lies told by Faux News and others about Obama) that she's 'heard' he was a Muslim. I quickly countered with the Rev. Wright stuff, and how could he possibly be raising his children Xian after attending that CHURCH for so long. She then said she hadn't heard that, she'd heard that Obama never actually attended Wright's Church and that he really was a Muslim, and he'd been born out of the US. It was truly staggering. And, yes, she'd heard her 'facts' around the Church she attends.

Outlawing all gatherings over 50 people for the purposes of 'worshiping' an Invisible Sky Friend that is not FSM should be the rule of law in this country. Period. Oh, and when they do things like this, or preach gay bashing, misogyny, and/or killing abortion providers/seekers, they should all be deported and have their US Citizenship removed. Hey, they're allowed to speak their crazy, so I'm just following suit.
