This is the episode with the kid that was born genetically mosaic, having both male and female DNA elements.

In it, the kid talks about whether his 'liking' a male friend means he's 'actually a girl' or what. It got me thinking, and this should be prefaced by saying that the night before last I was able to get just over an hour of sleep. Last night I got over 9 but I'm still feeling freight-train-wreck level of awareness.

I realized that the kid needed to 'know' whether this made him a boy or girl because all kids think that way. Things are either good or bad, right or wrong, black or white, punished or rewarded. Nuance and depth isn't part of their worldview yet. And so they tend to classify behaviors as masculine or feminine only, and thus anything which is aberrant in one side must equate to deviance/sickness.

That got me thinking that's a LOT of how the average Retardican seems to think of gay marriage and any one of the myriad 'perversions' common in the GLBT community. Not just sexual desires/drives here, but even things like jewelry, clothing choices, etc. are subject to these judgements. It really does go to reinforcing my view that a good many Retardicans left behind maturity and growth when they discovered their pee-pee or 'poozle' (as House phrased it in another episode), and how much fun they were. It also goes to explaining another reason why they're so anti-intellectualism. After all, intellectuals recognize a good many layers to most decisions and world features. Thus, if they are forced to admit that being gay isn't complete about being a woman, their entire world will fall apart.

For the record, I think it's patently retarded and foolhardy to even think about considering comparing gay marriage to man-on-lamp marriage. But apparently, the Retardican majority seems to want to believe it. It's definitely time for reeducation camps to break the psycho-death-grip the Church and Gingrich/flunkies have on people.
