Getting very drunk because Camping is a fucking mental defective, and those that willingly follow him are even worse. Maybe this would actually WAKE THEM UP and start a 'real' End.... The end of belief in the lies of the Church as a whole, and Televangelists/Radio Personalities that try to pretend to Truth. That would be worthy of a very drunken celebration to me.

It would depend on the power.

If it was super-beneficial without any obvious 'drawbacks', sure.

If it was like mind-control, or phasing, or teleporting without error without seeing/knowing the landing zone (like a bank vault or such) or the ability to turn humans into liquid messes within 1.2 seconds of starting, then I'd probably want to keep it relatively secret lest folk get .... antsy about it.
