Firefox Add-on breakage

So, since R4 of Firefox, I've noticed that a great many of my more useful add-ons are continually 'breaking' with each upgrade. I wrote to the Mozilla team expressing my 'dissatisfaction' here with some strongly worded stuff. I got a very interesting bit of information back, though. It seems that my beloved Google toolbar (which has now been dropped for continual development by Google for reasons that make no sense) has been having continual support issues for the last 2 full Rev's (now that FF is at V6). Well, the Add On Compatibility Reporter add-on allows for a system to bypass the compatible version checks so the add-ons can be tested and verified by users with the later versions. Suddenly, I got all my G. Toolbar stuff back. Like magic.

If you've got some add-ons you particularly like and feel a desire to have working again, I highly recommend the Add On Compatibility Reporter tool. It really was a life saver.
