ssurgulAnd why all Republicans are low-down, no-good, filthy liars and hypocrites! At least the ones in power and in lobbying positions.
Cases in point:
The guy with the abortion clinic bombings. Not only was he allowed to skate by with a plea bargain to NOT get the death penalty, he's not being tried as a terrorist. I'm sorry, but his dogma is clearly such that this is almost purely a religious effort and exchange on his part. He feels that abortion is murder. He also admitted to wanting to fight off the 'Homosexual Agenda'. But he's not going to die, and he's just going to be an even bigger drain on the people he hates so much.
Where's the legislation to force divorce on couples that haven't had offspring in more than 10 or 15 years? Or on those couples who can't have offspring? Where's the legislation banning any sort of contraceptive in a marriage or, in some states, being sold or given away at all? These were all reasons why gay marriage couldn't possibly be used; the majority of states have passed laws (based on these ideals) that gays can't possibly have a meaningful, long term commitment with another person of the same gender. Fair enough. Let's just be consistent about it, and continue passing this legislation. I'm sure all those leaders who were so adamant and vocal will all lend their voices to this drive and cause immediately.
