Amusing romps

Well, today, rather than post the things to Ebay that have been hanging out for a long while, I opted instead to hang out with the room mate for a couple of 'short' hikes.  While each was, in and of itself, short (2 miles each, or so), doing three of them was a tremendous way to burn up the entire day.  Ah well, it was nice to get out and about once again at least.  And, it gave me a chance to use the macro function on my camera which is something I haven't ever really played with before, so that was nice.  And finally, I got to meet a cute little garden snake while we were hiking.  His and all other pics are here:  http://www.sdpub.org/cpg/thumbnails.php?album=64 ; And now to all, a pleasant good night.

It sounds like you had a relaxing time. I'm trying to get together a small fur meet this saturday to go hiking. Sometimes it's nice just to escape things and get out into nature for a bit.

Yeah, that's pretty much what was good about the weekend. Losing those few hours wasn't so nice, but hey, the tradeoff was more than worth it. Hope you have fun with your own hikings if they happen this weekend.
