Wow.

On the anniversary of The Day, I had honestly all but forgotten about it, given that I came to my own conclusions long ago about what really happened, and what sparked it all, and who was to blame.

But now, from fark.com, I find a blog entry that truly, truly sums up my feelings about everything that's gone on for the last 6 years. Wake up America. Please. Or at least add the necessary bleach to the gene pool where appropriate.

As millions of Americans were convinced that swarthy Muslims would be killing them while they eat in their Stucky's, shop in their Piggly-Wigglies and sleep in their trailers, Now they feel safer because they received millions in Homeland Security money to guard theWorld's Largest Ball of Twine, a known terrorist target.

Having gotten back at largely Saudi terrorists by invading their neighbor,Iraq, America stands proud today that we did this without sacrificing one ounce of our liberties. Other countries might have spied on it's citizens, authorized torture and operated secret prisons as a means of obtaining information, but not the US. Other countries would have just lashed out to lash out, without an actual plan or without support from the world, but we made sure we had a solid plan and global support from all of our Allies.

America now stands proud that we have captured Bin Laden, and improved the lives of the entire Arab world by engaging in a serious dialog, not by saber rattling. Terrorism is at an all time low, peace reigns in the middle east and tourism to those countries has reached an all-time high. We have also stopped nuclear proliferation in countries like North Korea and Iran, giving them incentives to not build nuclear capability.
