It's always spectacular when you've known you had one last thing to purchase to make your kitchen's food preparation tools complete and then to decide that today is the day to buy, only to discover that at Target that very model is once again on sale for about 30% off.

Oh happy day.

Now with my mega crockpot (http://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Beach-6%252dqt%252e-Programmable-33966/dp/B000HG7YUQ/ref=sr_1_17/105-6380870-0962864?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1192564372&sr=1-17 ) I am ready for just about anything cooking-wise, up to 12 people at a time! ;)

I TOTALLY recommend that one. Unfortunately, the price normally on Amazon turned out to be the same price as the one I got on sale, but hey, it's good news for you long-ear! Three different cooking methods, and a huge crock.... It'll make enough food for you both for a few days if you're still trying to economize. I know it's working spectacularly for me already. ;)
