I just downloaded and used ljArchive, to be sure I don't run the risk of losing anything with the transition from 6A to SUP owning LJ. And I just realized, it's been over 5 years that I've had this journal now. That's a lotta time. 10/31/2001. Hm. Well, anyway, here's to the future.

{{It's also quite entertaining to go back and read certain private entries again. Particularly when they're about very select folk that are no longer a part of my life.}}

Yup. I did the same thing with LJARchive as well. That was right before making a decision (this was months ago during the second strikethrough 07 episode) to use Insane Journal for my next bloggging destination. Anyhow, there is a tool out there that migrates all your entries from LJ to IJ using perl. If you do decide on InsaneJournal sometime in the future, this might be the tool for you.

Yeah, I didn't investigate the archiver during that same incident but I did get myself set up on deadjournal instead. Looks like I may well have to be sure and figure out where the bulk of my friends are going to head and head that way myself.

Thanks for this. I just archived my LJ life... four and a half years. Woah and wow indeed.
