ssurgulAbout halfway through now, with the audiobook so I can do other things at the same time, and it's truly amazing. If Pullman did in fact write this for kids, as is stated, he definitely pulls no punches, and he definitely uses words to challenge their own vocabularies. It's just an amazing story, really, and I'm thrilled I'm .... errrr, 'reading' it now, because it's soooo good.
