2008-Dec-29, Monday 07:14 amafter watching the entirety of Joseph Campbells and The Power of Myth with Bill Moyers (6 interviews with Campbell where he talks about myth, their reflection of us, and how we can and are supposed to achieve Divinity here on Earth through them). I'm looking at www.comicartfans.com and this artist, Shelton Bryant. And what's leaping out at me is that his female villains and heroes are MASSIVELY endowed, and in most cases in slutty, seductive, almost-whoreish poses. And the male villain/heroes? Hazy. Indistinct, and any closeups are from head to lower torso, at their best. No sign of male crotch or ass region. What the hell does this say about the continued sexual repression courtesy of The Great Death Cult (Christianity), where entirely fictional representations are STILL showing women as objects and men as scary if they're shown to have reciprocal organs.
I so weep for this culture.

Although not ALL the comics posted have this problem, there are quite a few that specifically focus on cute/sexy/erotic/pornographic females in their comics. But of course there's no corresponding mention of cute/sexy/erotic/pornographic male art!
Ugh. I feel a rant coming on.
