So, it has come to my attention that Tim Burton is making his own interpretation of Alice in Wonderland.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict it will be heavily surreal laced throughout with Awesome.

I heard Marilyn Manson was doing one too, although as far as I saw his only plans were that Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum would actually be twin hot blonde lesbian sisters who fuck. Or something.

Frankly I'd love to see the whole thing remade into the porn it's begging to be. There was a beautifully-drawn hentai porn series based on it called Alice in Sexland that I enjoyed.

Well, it's so disturbing to read some of the underground stuff, like Rice's Sleeping Beauty series and see the obvious sexual undercurrents translated into a piece of captivating erotica. (Ok, so the Beauty books weren't especially well written or anything, but the stories we're told as kids DEFINITELY have things going on there.) I'd actually love to see Burton direct two versions of the movie, the kiddie-friendly one and the NC-17/XXX one. I think his adult version would be so ... disturbing that he'd be able to awaken many sleepers out there to the BDSM lifestyle too. ;)
