Target Pharmacy

ssurgulI realized while watching a back episode of Rachel today that I hadn't shared why I will, and I feel most of my friends should, be using Target Pharmacy for most all my questions and needs. A few weeks ago I ran dangerously low on my Cetirizine HCl (generic for Zyrtec). I ran to Target to get another 100 tablet container, as they had the best price per pill I'd found with that package. They were out. The pharmacist came out, yet again as they have multiple times before, and helped me look to verify it wasn't placed somewhere 'weird'. No luck. She then informed me graciously and directly that Costco had a 365 pack of the same drug for $15. About 1/2 the price of their products.
Next, I went in again, later, and dealt with a different pharmacist regarding possible eyedrops for ocular allergies from Zyrtec. I wanted to verify the active ingredient since my eyes are starting to build up a tolerance to the Zaditor brand, and there are days I need something. The Zyrtec option wasn't yet made or available. However, the pharmacist on hearing my concerns, immediately went to her terminal, and did some research on the drug itself and discovered that the active ingredient was identical to the Zaditor. After some laughing jibes at marketing and the name-recognition game of most producers nowadays, I went home without needing to waste any more time or effort tracking down the Zyrtec drops.
This was an amazing example of truly stellar customer service. And it's not like those folks aren't inherently busy there behind the counter. I've never, ever seen them just standing around waiting for something to do. Far from it. Yet, they ALWAYS take the time to answer my questions thoroughly and do the footwork to resolve the issue. Indeed, that's how the bulk of the Target staff acts, even if I'm on the opposite end of the store. They definitely go the extra mile, and that should be rewarded with the votes of the shopping dollar.
