A night of joy and relaxation.

ssurgulWent to a friend's last night, to ring in, errrr out, the Holiday weekend.
Saw Castle in the Sky, which (despite the rather trite heckling of a couple of watchers) was really quiite good. What a surprise, I know, for a Miyazaki film to be just pure visual candy, and to tell yet another coming of age and overcoming the corruptions of the man and the past storyline. But it was still just brilliant.
Drank some pinot wine which was delicious with the special dark bar as accompanyment. Had way too much food. And now I'm really paying for it.
But it was still quite enjoyable as relaxation. And it was even better when another person showed up with his two dogs. The elder, a husky female, was so well behaved and so affectionate it was a nice change. And the younger was just a puppy that was still chewing on everything, and having a grand adventure while exploring the house. She, too, will be far, far, far too cute when she grows up.
Gah, I miss having an animal around the apt. Too bad I can't afford one, otherwise, I'd start pondering a mini finally.
