7 Weeks of blockbuster sales

And Avatar is STILL selling out theaters. This weekend I went to the Cinetopia with a couple of good friends locally, in the Living Room (a VERY intimate, posh viewing experience, that doesn't allow anyone under age except on very specific days at very specific times so the experience is never obnoxious). It was sold out completely (understandable given the reduced size of the theater) but the Grand Auditorium which holds more folk than the usual stadium auditorium at Regal also had a substantial line and was selling more and more tickets as I stood and watched.

I can understand the enthusiasm since I love the movie as well, but my ghods, I'd have thought things would have died off even a bit by now, 7 weeks out.
