Rocked!

I truly enjoyed almost all of it. Some of the weapons were a trifle over the top, but it was a little more comic-booky than I was expecting. The woofs were QUITE appealing, for various personal reasons. And it was like watching one of my own, Fuck You Players! WoD plotlines being made into a wonderfully alive movie. If you're a fan of Vampire and Werewolf before they became ridiculous, I'd highly, highly recommend the flick.

While there were many good things, as a whole the movie doesn't stick together and it's basically impossible to care about the main characters.

My biggest peeve is the 'sunlight bullets'. The werewolves design a one-shot instant vampire kill.. I am creaming my jeans in the theater. It's my WOD dream come true... and they never use it again.

One the good side. it does have a big black guy ripping off his clothes and wolfing out. And walking nude across the screen carrying a body. And getting flogged by a vampire with a silver whip prior to messy disembowelment.

I can see why you liked this movie. :)

Now, now. Let's not short change the overall fetishism of the flick. The wuffs were all also so nicely latexy for almost all their form, save for the seemingly random tufts of fur. They also had such sexy digigrade legs and walked on them so nicely.

And, yes, of course the big burly black guy was quite appealing, though he wasn't fully nude. Closer examination, the second time, revealed a black thong he was wearing. Oh. The horror. ;)

And the wolves were specifically bred, by the Vamps, as slaves and guardians. What more need be said? ;)

The only characters I really gave a shit about were the Elders in the Vampires, and the biggers, sexier wuffers. All the others were suitably slain for lameness, or given the Divine Support plan because of being needed for the sequel. Beyond that, though, they were ultimately useless and incompetent.

And now for the response to the drawbacks. No shit re: the bullets. It irritated the fuck out of me. It's not like they couldn't have hit them from time to time. They had automatic weapons, spitting out little mini-grenades of vampiric death and discomfort. Hell, when that was shown to be ineffective, and their claw-to-face skills were infinitely more lethal, they CHOSE to keep shooting. LAMELAMELAME.

But overall, I'll still pick it up on DVD. Maybe I'll get to see some of those performers in the woof suits.
