I just got back from seeing Paycheck. And wow. Let me just say that again. Wow.
It seemed to take a few of the best things from Fifth Element, and many of the best things from Minority Report, and fuse them together. While it wasn't as gritty or outright comical as either one, it was certainly worth the money. It's a romping good time, and watching Ben Affleck jumping through the hoops he created ..... Just masterful storycrafting and telling.
I saw one huge continuity error, unfortunately, and had a run in with a couple of calorically-enhanced, intellectually deficient teenage girls who thought that simply 'going to the bathroom' was somehow an excuse to warrant cutting ahead of everyone else in line (I was first so I was a trifle miffed when they took the best seats and claimed innocence). But beyond those two things, the movie was DEFINITELY worth seeing. It's not above, say, RotK, but after you see that, see this. :)
