To call this (Republican National) Convention manipulative is to call Marcel Marceau 'a little quiet'.

"Manipulative" while pushing the cause of conservatism has been the main theme of the past four years. Certainly since 9-11-01. How else could the bushies turn national (and worlwide) support, and sympathy into contempt, and outright hatred in just a few months?

Well, as was shown by the substance of the speeches, 9/11 was HUGE for the Republicans this year. They harped on it almost constantly, just to try and reinforce what a great leader Bushette is and how critical to 'National Security' he is. I won't tirade on the rest, yet again, as my feelings have been written down many times over the past couple of years, but it's just one step from being public that much of this was coordinated or approved beforehand by Bushette anyway. And the fact that there are supporters still for this shit.... It just staggers the mind.
