The new Dark Tower novel, by Stephen King, is out!!

Wolves of the Calla

I hadn't realized it had been released yet, and I LOVE that series.  So if my excitement seems rather out of place, eh, I donna care much.  :)  It's such a killer series.  Now to just get it in the full sized paperback edition like the other 4 I've already gotten.  :)

Tuvok:  Your instincts were correct.  However, one day your intuition will fail.  And you will finally understand that logic is primary above all else.  Instinct is simply another term for serendipity.

Nelix:  And one day, Mr. Vulcan, I'll get you to trust your gut.

T:  That is doubtful.

N:  We'll see.

T:  Your attempts have yet to succeed.

N:  You always have to get in that last word, doncha.

T: I am simply responding to your erroneous statement.

N: You just hate to lose an argument.

T: Losing is irrelevant.

N: See what I mean?

T: No. I do not.

I love Tuvok.  He's so funny.  Even though this little convo-snippet is curiously reminiscent of MaCoy-Spock, it's still quite cute.

Oh, my ghod.

I just found Portland Wrestling on local 14.  The beauty of public channels.

Can I just mention that a few of these men are far too hot for their own good?  They're not as buffed up as most of the WWE performers, but they are DEFINITELY wiry and developed.  And those spandex clothes leave so little to the imagination, I only need imagine what they'll look like collared and bound and ... Well, never mind.

This is great.  Some of them are clearly on their way toward the Big Leagues of Wrestling, but some are just there for the fun and show, and the paycheck.  And while they're amazingly athletic, some of their actions are definitely overdelivered for the setup by their ringmate.  Too funny.  :)

Just got back from seeing The Butterfly Effect.

I won't say what happens, as it's pretty fucked up, overall.  However, I will say that I was deeply impressed with the manner they chose to deal with a lot of the inherent paradoxes to what was done.  I would have liked to see a slightly more methodical and scientific approach to some of this, or at least see the failures on trying.  After all, isn't he a Psych major?  But still, overall, it was quite enjoyable and pleasurable.

For those interested in some amusing jaunts into human psychology, chaos theory at its most basic, and very good diversity acting on several people's part, it's a movie I HIGHLY recommend.
