Sky Capt. and the World of Tomorrow

Actually got off my lazy ass and saw this.  And surprisingly it wasn't bad at all.  Jude Law is still super-yummy.  And this movie has all the makings of a great 20's era serial, which is clearly the effect they were going for anyway.  I hadn't realized just how amazing the effects would truly be when it was in the theatres, otherwise, I'd have seen it at least once there.  Sure, I'd heard the entire thing was CGI'ed, but having seen others (FF: The Spirits Within being a notable exception) I just hadn't been that impressed by all-computer movies.  Until this, that is.  Staggeringly real, and organic 'sets' and effects, and the machines were both sleek and sexy, and believable.  Truly incredible and well worth a rental.
