And to quote one of the two Kings of Truthiness (the other of course being Jon Stewart), while Stephen is at the White House Correspondant's Dinner, he sayeth unto the crowd:

"Over the past 5 years, you people were so good over ... over, uh, tax cuts, WMD intelligence, the effect of global warming.  We Americans didn't wanna know, and you had the courtesy not to try to find out.  Those were good times, as far as we knew.  But listen, let's review the rules; here's how it works.  The President makes decisions -- he's The Decider.  The Press Secretary announces those decisions, and you people of the press type those decisions down.  Make - Announce - Type.  Just put it through a spell check, and go home.  Get to know your family again, make love to your wife.  Write that novel you've got kickin' around in your head.  You know, the one about the intrepid Washington reporter with the courage to stand up to the Administration.  You know, FICTION!"

And that was one of his more gentle slams on the various attendees.  ;)

Yeah, I caught the video on C-Span (yes, I'm a nerd). Kudos to you for finding this site, though, I hope Stephen knows it's there. :)

Thanks and thanks. Yeah, I'm seriously hoping he finds it and knows about it. There are WAY too many comments for him to reasonably have a hope in hell of going through, but still. :)

I wish I'd known the thing was on C-SPAN. I haven't watched his show consistently since it came on, so I had zero forewarning. Stupid Tivo drives dying on me. :)
