How is it that someone who is on welfare, can't make any semblance of rent, has difficulty getting food or other basic necessities met can somehow justify spending money for subscriptions to things like City of Heroes?

Spending money for game subscriptions might well be the reason why some folks have difficulties getting food and all that. :P Ultimately, I don't think it matters much - if people get money to buy food etc. but then spend it on other things, that's OK with me, too, as long as they don't come to me to complain (or demand more money). :P

Well, these same folk are the ones that then turn around and yell and bitch about their roommates not supporting them even more, when they're contributing nothing to the household or monthly expenses. Not even on a reduced schedule because they make 'so little' on their welfare.

Yeesh. That shit is more addicting than gambling or sex.

(Not that being addicted to sex has done much adversely for me...)

if rent is $500, and all you can scrape together is $350, then you're obviously not going to make your rent payment, so you might as well blow the cash that you do have on budweiser and cigs, or whatever helps you cope with (or just not deal with) your 5 kids. oh, excuse me, it will be 6 next month. ...Better drink up!
