After reading the first book, I have to say that I'm really enjoying the show though it takes a LOT of liberties with the story itself. But they're actually very interesting and rewarding liberties, that flesh out the characters a lot more. It's not for everyone, not by a long shot. But for those that can handle it, it's just ... really enjoyable.
