Heroes: The Kindness of Strangers

Redemption. It is a brick to the head for subtlety but there it is. All over this episode. And seemingly this season, so far.

Mama Petrelli. Yeah. She's made of Awesome. Period. I love her. "Try not to let your children hate you. Not if you can help it." Man. I .... I truly am at a loss. A steel and claw woman that is packed with power and strength, and yet .... all this regret too for all she's done.

The Bennet's. Redemption has to be worked for, yet none of the family seems to be interested in actually working toward it. Lies on top of lies on top of lies. And yet, none of the characters seem motivated, at all, to stop them. Living lies for too long just builds that necessary armor that takes so very long to break through I guess.

Sylar. MMMmmm. For just that brief second, you think he's on the road to redemption. You think that maybe he'll give up his quest to be special, having realized just how fucked up that life will be, with all the lies that are necessary to keep yourself safe. But no. The clockwork starts ticking again as his mind reawakens and his body starts to work properly again. And he returns to evil. Damn. It would have been awesome to have Gabriel and Peter swap roles, even for half a season, because they couldn't remember what happened, or their past was just too painful to continue down that road for the entirety. We'll see, though, I guess.
