THIEVES! Thieves spotted yesterday under the cold, clear light of the full moon. Pooch and I were just minding our own business, taking his walk, and we spied them, ducking and diving through the bushes around the front of our complex. Big for their race, probably fattened up on post-holiday leftovers and hoping to score some more this week too! And obviously well trained and collaborating in their thievery for a while. One would watch BJ and I as we watched them vanish and reappear, while the other would scout ahead, and then they'd leapfrog it, and they would assume the other's role. Their black masks only barely hid their eyes, glinting with hidden mischief and pilfering.

Oh, yes, and their four paws were cute too, as their big floofy tails swayed around behind them. Lock up your children, the carnivorous raccoons are attacking! ;)

Attack of more cuteness indeed! The two the other morning were much larger, definitely adults. But still cute for being burglars. ;)

Well, given that the pair could probably tag team BJ and chase him out of the apt, tail tucked, not so much. :)
