I wouldn't have thought I would agree with someone so deeply regarding the 'Free Market'. Look out, though. It's getting dangerously close to that Universal Straw Man: Communism.
Apparently it went off without any trouble from the police, even though there was quite a bit of open consumption.
It looks like Canada is really going to go through with the decriminalization of possession of small amounts of pot. I'm not sure what that means exactly, or how far away it's going to remain from "legal". (ie. when are they going to start taxing it?...and will that mean I can keep more than 50% of what I make in income?)
That was an interesting radio clip. The underground market is definitely extremely large. Whether it's ruining MY life or not....I'm not so sure. Often when governments complain about "things that hurt everyone", "everyone" tends to mean the 5% that have 90%.
