Almost 48 hours in.....
2009-Feb-20, Friday 01:07 pmWell, the unthinkable happened again.
I opted to adopt someone again. His name is Lamba Mahtar (which is Sindarin for "Tongue Warrior"). He's 8 months old, a lab mix, and he's a holy fucking terror. He uses his muzzle for everything that his tongue does and doesn't touch. He's not a chewer, per se, but my GOD does he play and play lots. He's fixed (as all pound dogs are) and chipped from the previous owner. He's in terrific shape; the leanness is from his being 8 months old and not yet growing into his frame. His paws are enormous, so he's going to be a beast which is definitely good. His teeth are in great shape, and he's curious and excited most of the time, though being just a pup that is still suffering from WTF-itis about being 'abandoned' by his former family, he's nervous around new people and places still. So we're going to as many as possible to help socialize him as thoroughly as possible. Oh, and he will DEMAND to play at times, too, which is something I missed from poor, old BJ.
Finally, the rash you'll see in some of the pics turned out to be a staph infection that the H.S. tried to cover and leave undiagnosed. Due to circumstances, it cost me all of $4 to get the medicine for, so I'm not going to bitch. So far he seems to be responding to it, which makes me very happy.
Anyway, here are some pics. Forgive the one with him pooping; that was at the Humane Society when I was looking at him, and it was one of the only ones he stayed still long enough for a picture to be taken.
