Windows Media Player and Vista happy!
2009-Jul-31, Friday 10:59 amSo, after a few months of WMP not actually stopping audio from either audio or video clips being played when the program was closed, I found the solution.

I ran the "regsvr32" command with the following dll files
wmp.dll
wmpcm.dll
wmpdxm.dll
wmpeffects.dll
WMPEncEn.dll
WMPhoto.dll
wmpmde.dll
wmpps.dll
wmpshell.dll
wmpsrcwp.dll
I still find it hilarious that I'm running Vista64 and the tool to reregister dll files is a 32 bit app. Ah well. MS will always lead technology revolutions about 4-5 years behind the actual leaders.
