It's definitely interesting. I like the updated science and such for it. However, what I REALLY don't like is the rather blatant politicization of it. The original book was meant to enlighten (yes, and scare the crap out of us) as to what 'could' be happening with our toys and projects. What we could, unwittingly, bring back to earth in stupid, stupid ways. Not to mention give us a wake up call about what could happen with simple, microscopic organisms that we think are just essentially harmless and out there for their own whatever.
It's too bad they made it all about the former Administrative Regime, and the paranoia inducing fuckwits that were in charge of it.
