I think it's quite likely. I have no idea which, but in a few million years, I am relatively sure another species would arise to become similarly dominant. This of course presumes there isn't a nuclear or other entirely destructive reason for the removal of all humans from the planet.

As to what they'd learn from our mistakes? Nothing at all. By the time they achieved similar enlightenment or awareness, our culture and civilization will be entirely lost, reclaimed by the planet anyway. The only way lessons would be passed on is if we were to cultivate the species, and then teach them our entire history as well as give them the entire library of all our records to be used as reference. Otherwise, the new species would have to pursue their own paths, wherever they may lead.
