...melting.

This is me .... needing a real, reliable job.

This is me .... with that job, getting air conditioners.

This is me .... with air conditioners, not melting in the summers any more.

This is me .... very happy not melting in the summers any more.

That is you.. with what job?

Air conditioners, eh? I looked at buying one for my room during the last heat wave.. then the heat went away and I forgot all about it till I melted again yesterday. How and where did you decide to buy one?

I'm a frugal, careful, consumer whore.. it sucks having to make sure I buy the best product while wanting to buy anything or everything without the hassle, consequences be damned. But for an AC, an expensive piece of hardware meant to last, I want to be careful.

*chuckles* I think you missed the tense of that verb. I'm needing a job, not having one yet. At least not one that will allow me to easily run a couple of AC units without worrying about the electric bill. Looking over the forecast, this wave is theoretically going to break after tomorrow, so maybe we'll all get lucky and that'll be the end of it for this year.

That will give me 9 months or so to find that better job, and get a couple of AC units for the windows in my apt. or find an apartment that has AC and takes pooches (for that far-off day when I get a pooch again) and move myself into that instead. One or the other.

But it's all reliant on my getting a better job.

This is me .... getting it now.

I somehow thought the job you mentioned was the task of buying and installing an AC so you don't melt. I blame my own melted brain for not getting it.

There's a bright-side though. In a few weeks, when you aren't doing the school thing, you'll be free to find cooler environments to survive the heat. Restaurants, movie theaters, arcades...

This is me .... not being very subtle. :)

*giggle* I fucking wish. Closer to cresting 100 when I wrote that. Very unpleasant. I love the desert, don't get me wrong. But usually on nice early spring days when the dry of the sand is matched by a very mild temp. When it gets this hot, I just want to run and hide somewhere dark, and very, very climate controlled. :)
