...for my new AMD system (the Sandy Bridge mobo's are delayed at least two months to correct the SATA chipset problems and my computer is dying now) I found a very odd item.

How exactly does one 'refurbish' a processor? I'm genuinely curious. I guess maybe if the pins are bent or such that might be the case. Or if the metal cap was loose or whatnot. But the processor is normally just a single piece of silicone. You replace that, and you replace the whole processor......... So bizarre.

Refurbished sometimes just means "used". It usually means "It was used, but we tested it to make sure it still works."
