While spec'ing out prices...
2011-Feb-18, Friday 09:42 am...for my new AMD system (the Sandy Bridge mobo's are delayed at least two months to correct the SATA chipset problems and my computer is dying now) I found a very odd item.

How exactly does one 'refurbish' a processor? I'm genuinely curious. I guess maybe if the pins are bent or such that might be the case. Or if the metal cap was loose or whatnot. But the processor is normally just a single piece of silicone. You replace that, and you replace the whole processor......... So bizarre.
