ssurgulSo one of the big reasons I feel that so many of the Retardican 'activists' need to be removed from the gene pool is that most of them are, in many ways, much like Al Queda. They view that NOTHING is outside the rules when it comes to their pet causes. Killing is perfectly justified when it involves someone they don't like (abortion doctors, and political opponents in years gone by). But the really disturbing part is that they view it as it is. One of them takes the legal hit by going to jail for life in a system that believes in equal treatment and such. But that one psychopath that kills for 'their God' and 'His Law' fundamentally alters the way things happen. How many abortion doctors closed up shop because of the protests that turned violent, and because other doctors were assaulted and even killed? The damage was done.
Not many know about it, but back in 2004, Ohio actually had MAJOR problems with the election that year. As in, MAJOR. As in, 2 years later, several people in the elections office went to jail MAJOR. yet, that election of that nightmare of Bush still stood. The damage was done.
What about 'actual' judicial activism, such as Citizen's United? How much damage was done to our election process by that nightmare of a fraud? But now, even if we can somehow prove that Alito, Roberts and Thomas were all acting unethically with a MAJOR conflict of interest and should be removed for their actions, the damage is done. It'll take MASSIVE concerted efforts to get our government back, and the corporations won't allow that. The damage has been done.
And that is the lesson of these douchebags. Look at Wisconsin right now. The governor likely won't get reelected to dogcatcher after his little stunt, and his lies that have been disproven across the board. Lies that he won't even try and address right now. But if he gets his agenda of destroying public sector unions, he'll have 'won'. The damage will be done.
We like to think that 'justice is served' when nutjobs like this are put behind bars, or just removed from political circles. But Faux News and others have seen to it that these 'American Heroes' as they like to christen them are not actually removed. The damage will be done, and we'll just accept it, because Dems are just too fucking stupid in most cases to wake up, and fight back. And fight back HARD.
These people use each other as weapons. Trying to take the emotional and mental high roads for this fight just won't work with bullies that come in these sizes and shapes, in a seemingly-endless train. The only time they are ever going to 'learn' nowadays is by nailing them to the fucking wall and driving them not only out of politics but also out of the city, county and state. Fighting back against chronic bullies like this can only take one effective form and that's to actually fight back. They make it abundantly clear, day after day after day that the only thing they respect is the right of the fist. And they've proven time and again that there are no 'actual' limits to their tactics and underhandedness. Being a smarty-brainy type makes us feel good, sure, but it doesn't fix the fucking problem.
