My, what a fucking joy.
2003-Sep-04, Thursday 04:02 pmDon't you love getting up early, assuming you're on West Coast time, so you can make a call first thing to the East Coast, to talk to the highest level escalation manager you can speak to? Only to get her voicemail twice? And then to get a call later in the day, not from her, but from her assistant saying that she just left to go to an offsite meeting? And hearing that I was welcome to call her back later, but she would definitely not be back in the office that day?
This, of course, wouldn't be complete without having come right after last night, when the previous escalation manager was informed, in no uncertain terms, that I had a call to make at 6PM, my time, and he couldn't call me after that. He assured me he'd call me before 5. At 5:45 I called to find him, and remind him of my call at 6 and to call me after 6:30 accordingly. After my call, I found *gasp* a voice mail, left at 6:06, by the new and improved escalation manager, not even him.
I'm not sure I could have scripted a better example of their 'customer service'. This should be pure heaven 'talking' to this woman first thing in the morning.
