I was finally able to get the rebuilt media center working fully yesterday. Yay for a Holiday that doesn't show any of the ... *ahem* load of shows I want to record, and giving me the necessary time to make it happen. After the 'fun' of getting the stupid Hauppage card working with the blaster remote within Media Center, and after the digital audio not actually spitting anything out for the longest time, now, finally, I'm ready with a system that's not quite on the last toe of the last leg any longer. And courtesy of a nice sale at Fry's I was able to put in a 2TB secondary drive in the system for music and a few other media sharing choices so I can alleviate some of the added load off the server.
We'll see how it all works out now. :)
