So, it turns out (according to Super-Genius Santorum) that there wasn't a banking/mortgage deregulation problem that caused the housing implosion. It was *actually* a regulation problem that forced people to buy homes they couldn't afford.
Huh.
I've never heard that one before. I can just see those Faggot Enforcers, like the so-called requirements for Hitler's Brownshirts by that Ultra-Retardican Talk Show Host moron claimed, out there literally with pink, flaming guns pointed at people's heads, forcing them to sign the mortgage documents.
Here I thought much of the problem was the completely unaccountable mortgage brokers, telling ill-informed, foolhardy Americans that they should just bump their net income up several thousand dollars. It didn't matter. They just needed to get them into that house! That it was the shady dealings of ARM's that were ready to bend a homeowner over that had no clue what that fine print meant about Prime + 21% for their 'revised' percentage rate. That these poor people were victims of the general bullshit crazy of 'Flip it!!!!!' as a means of trying to get some wealth back.
