Kyle,
Well, that's twice now.
I have been informed by Westgate that the account if past 30 days now. First strike, this may be hitting the credit report for both of us. NOT a good thing.
I have been trying to work with them to clear up the account and get things worked out to where lots of these late fees (7 @ $20 each) can be removed without payment. However, twice now the account has been in a state that I can't do that. First time: 10/15/02. You saw the deposit, asked me what it was for, and then 'tried to respect it'. Unfortunately, because you shaved off every margin and left precisely $199.17 in the account, the bank wouldn't process the charge because there wasn't going to be the $.01 left in the account to allow the account to remain open. That cost yet another of the 7 charges and put 3 back on the books because I'd broken the promise to deliver the money on the 15th.
Second time: 11/15/02. I had just deposited the $200 to cover the payment due yesterday. I get a call from Belinda this morning stating the account is now 32 days delinquent and that Nov.'s payment is yet again not paid. Upon checking, I find that there is a $165.65 payment made to the loan 143, which was NOT what that money was for. Yet again, my promise to pay is broken, despite my best efforts.
To remedy this little situation, I have moved the Westgate account to my TechCU account, where I know that funding will be available. I expect you to be covering these late charges, as through actions not of my own, they were reinstated or incurred. I expect to see the $400 (on checking I don't really see the two payments that are missing there any longer, which I deposited with the express intent of payment for this account) plus the $140 (for the late fees that are still existant because of the funding disappearing for purposes other than this account) back in the account as soon as humanly possible, as I need to redeposit that back into TechCU to get the account back current.
Let me know A> what happened that this took place and where the money from Draven is, and B> when I can expect to see the money back such that I can withdraw it and further rectify this situation.
