All praise to Target!

Well, while getting the last of my car cleaning stuff together today at Target, I happened wander through the DVD section. And I found one of my all time favorite collections there. Family Guy, Season 1 and 2. Such a terrifical box set, with fantabulous plots and humorous and erudite dialog. And where was this magical pass to the highbrow sides of America? In the CHILDREN'S/FAMILY section!

The logic here doesn't elude me. After all, Target is the higher brow portion of the poor white trash stores (and yes, please note I shop there too), so they're obviously trying to educate the youth sooner than later. Or something. ;)

The two Family Guy DVD box sets (Seasons 1&2, and Season 3) are one of the best investments I've made. I had watched 'em through a couple times before, and a few more times since moving and waiting for cable. The episodes are like tasty popcorn.

And the fact that it's a cartoon, in a sea of other cartoons, played at least a part, I'm sure. But for anyone who has seen any of the episodes will realize that Family Guy is about The Simpson's squared for pure challenging and offensive content. ;)
