I just finished getting Coppermine Photo Gallery set up on my home server.

Knock yourselves out. That URL will likely change over time, most likely to something even more clever like 'gallery.sdpub.org', but that's a project for another day. PHP, Apache, and MySQL are an amazing, power-house suite of tools.

I did and still do. The intrinsic security there is a LOT easier to control than what I've seen thus far. Not to mention the field level encryption and security modelling is very advanced for Domino.

But for things like this.... Well, PHP and the Linux backend have a LOT more tools and filters pre-built that enable easier picture management. Notes doesn't; it's not meant to. Well, unless you wanted to go into Java of course.
