To help out my pony with some class work, I entered the above into Google. And this URL was spat back at me:

http://www.human-anatomy-for-artist.com/

Well, I must say, their models are incredibly delightful to look at. And no, it's not just because a good chunk of them are nude. There's no actual or even implied sex on the site, just photo reference of human forms. But DAAAAYY-YUUUUUMMM!! Some of these body builder types on the site are certainly some choice meat-market types. MMMmmmmmm. Quite worth the look-see.

Hey sorry for being random, but. In your business classes have you come across anything that suggests pitting 2 shifts against each other will be detrimental? They want us to post our output next to the other shifts output. But we only count 2 of about 8 products on our board since the other 6 products do not end in our area. Already this system is showing a skewed picture since we may only work on the unlisted products in any given day. Another thing to consider is that is takes days to process these test units. One shift could in theory sabotage the other or leave the time consuming work for the other shift. Also we have additional duties beyond what the other shift has to deal with as well as less people. Just wanted to see if you had any input. I understand your business classes may have been upper end and not delved into anything this basic. But any input would be appreciated =3

Well the classes tended to be more abstracted than that, unfortunately.

However, we did talk about employee relations in several of them. And my own experience has taught me a lot of lessons on that score. Competition CAN drive teams/groups to excel, there's no denying it. However, the rated competitions must, MUST be on parity with each other. Otherwise, you're comparing oranges to slabs of meat. Sure you can eat them both, but that's where any similarity ends. And sparking competition where there isn't parity leads to a whole lot of resentment, frustration, anger and potentially even work-sabotage.

What I'd watch for on this little competition is that your shift leads/managers make it ABUNDANTLY clear to their managers that the ratings are so unequal to work potentials and delivered. Otherwise, the management may well start to look at these results as a justification to further trim down the 'failing' shift, or just replace them all wholesale for underperformance.
